Here's a short but sweet nugget of wisdom:
The third line B on the clarinet is stuffier than it has to be and is often flat.
Try playing the note with the normal fingering, but simultaneously pressing the throat A key with the knuckle of the first finger of your left hand. That will make the note significantly more resonant and bring up the pitch. (You can use the throat Ab key instead, but the effects won't be as great.)
