Erratum? Why I switched to a synthetic reed

I said, in the original post, that I had difficulty getting altissimo notes above G to speak and be in tune with the Legere French Cut reed.

I recently played, and had no problem hitting the highest A and have it be in tune.

I suspect this has to do with that critical reed placement that I mentioned, but I'll have to investigate and experiment. Maybe I need to place the reed differently.
